Our History
The history of POK dates back to 1883, when...
He started a sugar mill and realized new technology could be applied.
Francisco established a small foundry and machine shop for spare parts for his sugar mill.
Francisco named his business after his son, Pablo OKhuysen.
During the Mexican Revolution, Emiliano Zapata dynamited the sugar mill leaving Francisco only with the foundry (sugar mill spare part shop).
The first CNC machine is installed, and POK became 100% electric melting.
Vacuum Induction Melting furnace is installed and POK is certified with ISO 9001:2015 certification.
POK became part of the Nucor family.
POK opens a new facility called POK Acatlán to become the safest, most modern and most efficient foundry in North America.
